The Venue Service Finder originated from collaboration with the Creator SEO team, where we were tasked with exploring innovative ways to support event creators on Eventbrite. Through user research, we uncovered a significant pain point: event creators struggled with the process of searching for and booking venues. Recognizing this opportunity, we conceptualized and designed a venue finder tool that could be tested with users. As the lead designer, I employed user testing to gain insights into how creators searched for venues and what specific information they needed to make informed decisions. These findings directly informed my design process, shaping the tool's functionality and user experience.
Event creators on Eventbrite lacked a streamlined, efficient tool to search for and book venues for their events. Their existing process was cumbersome and time-consuming.
A user-friendly tool that allows creators to easily search for venues will not only provide immediate value but also has the potential to scale into a full-fledged venue booking solution.
To design and build a concept MVP that addresses current user pain points, with the aim of validating it through user testing and feedback.
We successfully validated the concept with users, confirming that the tool could capture relevant keywords, meet creators' needs, and scale for future venue booking capabilities. However, leadership ultimately deprioritized the project, choosing to focus on other SEO initiatives for existing teams instead of developing a new tool.
